Once a person has received the Lord Jesus as Master and Saviour, the real relationship begins. It’s a relationship where they get to play a conscious role and be more than just beneficiary of His grace.  It’s important to remember the Lord knows you better than you do.  He knows your faults and is willing to work with you to overcome each and every one of them, even if it means tackling each issue one at a time.

Some ask the question, “Why do you need the Lord to obtain harmony with God?”  We all need an example.  God being omnificent, everywhere, and everything is a bit overwhelming for the mind to grasp and/or comprehend.  Knowing this, God sent the Lord, an image of Himself in human form, to show us how we are supposed to be.  It’s an ugly world down here and the only way to safeguard your soul is to walk in the light of God that will not only keep you safe, but get you back Home in the end.

The Lord came to show us how to walk in harmony with the will of God. He, being totally filled with God’s Spirit, gave us the knowledge and Spirit that we may follow in his footsteps. On top of that, he has given his followers the power of His Name which conquers all darkness.  He not only sits as our Teacher, He serves as our intercessor for God.  The Lord vouches for us and continues to change us into His likeness.

You Do Have Faith

There are so many people out there who love God with what they consider to be all of their heart, strength, and soul but still feel as though something is missing. They want to experience His presence more than just through words and other people’s testimonies. They want to feel the comfort of His Holy Spirit when needed. They want to pray and receive wisdom, insight, and discernment so they may help others along the way. They want to pray and expect results.

Some have (in their own minds) tried it all. They’ve gone to church, bible studies, prayer groups, and even one-on-one counseling. When they express these feelings of dissatisfaction or disappointment with “living like this” to others, they are told to keep up the walk and “keep the faith.”

When asking why aren’t they happier, and why doesn’t life seem better; they are made to feel as if something is wrong with them. They are told the problem is lack of faith which will be fixed if they keep doing what they are doing. While generally speaking, this is true. These types of answers aren’t usually immediately helpful to the ones seeking help.

There’s nothing faithless about this mentality at all. On the contrary, it proves they have the faith to believe. It means they are sincere in seeking God’s presence in their lives and feel they deserve to personally experience everything they’ve heard and read about in the scriptures. This mentality alone is rooted in faith and the desire to experience more of this union with our Father God.

Do not allow your faith to be weakened by anyone’s words.
